what started it

i walked into my house to hear my roommate talking about the funniest and actually most bizzare things that they wanted to do. they are going to live like different people and with different lifestyles each week. now it seems a little snarky if you ask me, but they just want to learn about different people and how they live. on top of that they are bored with their lives and they need some excitement.

...the last part is what got me thinking...

why are people so bored these days? i mean honestly, i don't think that i feel bored often at all. then i got to thinking (more). i came up with the fact that people cannot and i mean CANNOT be content with what they have. nothing about life should make people bored but everyday you hear someone say that it is boring.

i looked through the Bible, because when i am confused there seems to be no where else to turn. what i found is that having joy and fear in the Lord is what brings contentment to our hearts. Hebrews 13:5 tells us to be content with what we have because the Lord has said that "he will never leave us nor will he forsake us"

What a joy to know that we have someone so big on our side that can help us through our struggles. I have to say that i want to commit to not express boredom because there is always something to find joy in. the simple things in life are the best as people say.

this may seem oddly brash and judgmental, but i do not have that mindset at all. my goal is to see the good in everything and find the Hope that the Lord has left for us. and let's be honest "to each his/her own" :)
